Outreach For Youth!!!
A Girl With A Purpose
A Girl With A Purpose (AGWAP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage young girls between ages of 5-18 and to inspire and enable them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We provide opportunities for positive moral growth and sustainable life skills, and development for AGWAP members.
As an AGWAP member they will learn the fundamentals of etiquette, community service, self- esteem, confidence as well as the importance of loving other, as well as themselves.
We know that molding the minds of our youth will help build a brighter future. It is our purpose and goal to enhance and support the development of the social, physical, and emotional skills of young ladies. There are various activities we would love to have the AGWAP members involved in. We look to our community to aid in our efforts, so they can stand up tall and become flourishing young ladies and leading examples for our community. With your assistance we will be able to organize events that will capture the attention of the young ladies and implement the ideas of good character, honesty, respect and self-love. Your involvement will be invaluable. We are helping to change the world one little woman at a time!
The Mission of AGWAP Purpose Mentorship (AGWAP) is to foster the advancement of young women to make positive life choices and to maximize their authentic potential.
A Girl With A Purpose Mentorship (AGWAP) is committed to creating change and building the voices of young women. We envision a community, where every young woman is empowered to make informed decisions, establish healthy relationships and be self-sufficient. Through mentorship, we will nurture her goals, aspirations, and ambitions. We encourage her to flourish into her full potential.

Reconnecting Youth
Disconnected youth are often defined as young people ages 14-24 that are homeless, in foster care, involved in the justice system, or are neither emploed nor enrolled in an educational institution. Across the U.S., there are approximately 6.7 million youth that exhibit one or more of the above risk factors. Generation Alive would like to host youth days in the community that will give them a chance to show their talents, skills and thoughts, which would also give them the ability to have a voice amd build charcter in a postive way.

Civic Engagement and Volunteering
Civic engagement involves " working to make a difference in the civic life of one's community and developing the comination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make that difference. It means promoting the quality of life in a community, through both political and non- political processes". We as the new generation need to give a helping hand to our community to make it a better place, to clean up the streets and stop crime.

Mentoring
Mentoring provides youth with mentors who can develop an emotional bond with the mentee, have greater experience than the mentee, and can provide support, guidance, and opportunities to help youth suucceed in life and meet their goals. Mentoring relationships can be formal or informal with substantial variation, but the essential components include creating caring, empathetic, consistent, and long- lasting relationship, often with some combination of role modeling, teaching, and advising.

Preventing Youth Violence
Youth violence and crime affect a community's economic health, as well as a individual's physical and mental health and well-being. Homicide is the third leading cause of death for youth in our country. In 2012, more than 630,000 young people ages 10-24 were treated in emergency departments for injuries sustained from violence. According to the FL Department of Law Enforcement, in the year of 2014, 981 people were killed because of a violent crime. one of the things Generation Alive wants to insure is a safe environment, and resources that young people can take advantage of when they are in need of help.
